OBITUARY OF: LEONARD W. WILD
Leonard W. Wild, known among his circle of friends as "Lennie", died early Saturday at his home, 1195 Clinton St, following an illness of a year. For nine weeks he was confined to bed.
Born in Bernstadt, Germany, in 1862, a son of Leonard and Appolina (Burger) Wild, the deceased came to Noblesville, July 26, 1883, and went to the home of the late Leonard Wild, father of Mrs. Henry Gaeth, and was employed on the farm of Mr. Wild for several years. Some time later he went into the grocery business for himself and for about 25 years conducted a store in the room on the east side of the public square now occupied by Miller-Jones Company. For several years after he sold his store he was employed in the plant of the N.O. Nelson Manufacturing Company.
